She had the audacity to throw that at him. It sent a fire through the Romanian as he looked at her in disbelief. Sure they had worked through that point in their relationship, gotten stronger and better for it, but the way she was acting right now wasn't comparable to the moment he found out. He was doing his job, doing the very nature of the business and their world that both belonged to. Sure he had to step on a few toes, make people angry, make enemies, but not everything was done with malice and ill intent. If that was what she thought of him in the moment and what she assumed right now, then maybe she didn't know him as well as he thought she did. "I am not doing anything to you!" Andrei nearly shouts back, jaw clenched as he attempted to keep himself as collected as he could under the circumstances. "I am doing what I have to do for my family and now that includes you. It has nothing to do with harming your father and what he has but I have to do what I have to do." He doesn't have to explain himself, but here he was doing it anyway. "This has nothing to do with your trust in me, something I never break and you damn well know that."

He'd been unbuttoning his shirt when he first looked over at her, attention shifting back to his own hands as they move to finish undoing the buttons. It's then he looks up again to see her still standing there as he pulls his shirt down from his arms to then place it into the nearby hamper. It was then he spoke up, a smirk tugging at his lips as head shakes. A chuckle soon accompanies it before looking back up at her. "I didn't say it was a bad thing, iubire." He turns to face her, the slacks from his meeting earlier were still on but she didn't seem to mind so long as his shirt had been removed. "You are more than welcome to admire."

Andrei remains still, letting her come to him as she pushed off from the door frame. His own hands moving to rest on her hips as she places her's upon his jaw. There was a relief to being home, as if changing into more comfortable clothes or the idea of it would help relax him. If that was going to work remained to be seen. Seeing as he was distracted by her, it was helping keep his mind off of what happened earlier. Her idea as well was a good one, but what else would he expect from her? The kiss that followed was welcome, giving one back in return before giving an answer. "I know, I am just doing what I have to do. But, I think that is a good idea. Just let me put on some sweats. Okay?"

He hadn't wanted to worry her, it was why he hadn't said anything despite being home before her. He sat in his office, the doctor tending to the several wounds suffered in a rather violent confrontation with another family. It wasn't like it was out of the ordinary but normally he was rarely touched. It wasn't because Andrei rarely got his hands dirty, no, he was just that good. He was dominant, he was deadly. But he wasn't invincible. Of course the other men's bodies were being taken care of, their lifeless corpses being made to cease to exist. However, he hadn't come out untouched. That was what happened when one was jumped. He just finished having stitches put into his eyebrow where the gash was the worst on his face. It was already bruising, red, none of it looked good. Andrei had thought he would have this all taken care of before she got home but there was more to take care of than he cared to admit. At least to the doctor, Andrei still argued he was fine. There's a few mumbled complaints in Romanian, a his and growl here and there until his attention snaps to the door. It's then he sees her standing there with an expression he was hoping to avoid. "Iubire...it's not as bad as it looks. It's nothing really."
