Scans from V Jump magazine the following month, March 2002, in which there is a Q&A about Magic Reflector. Vindication!
Scans from Weekly Shonen Jump 2001 #33(July 16, 2001) of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 227(168 in Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist) “The Waiting Grave”. Featured here is the first and only use of the card “Magic-Removal Bacterial Weapon” localized in English as simply “Virus Cannon”. This card would appear in the OCG in September 2001 as a promotional card included in a guidebook for the PS2 “Yu-Gi-Oh! True Duel Monsters II: Succeeded Memories”(Duelist of the Roses) video game. This card’s artwork would be used as a basis for “Magic Gardna”(Magic Reflector) in November 2001′s “Mythological Age”. Also from the same issue of WSJ is a news page for the then new OCG set “Labyrinth of Nightmare”

Welcome! This is a silly little side-blog/shrine for my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! card, “Magic Reflector”(”Magic Gardna” in Japan)! I’ll be re-blogging older content/trivia and new stuff regarding this semi-mediocre card and things relating to it! Enjoy your stay!
Super Rare “Magic Reflector”(Magic Gardna) from the OCG set “Mythological Age”. It was even featured in the commercial for that set! When we got it in “Legacy of Darkness”, it was made a normal Rare, which seemed to happen to a lot of OCG SRs. It is my favorite card in the series; if I’m not mistaken, it is the first card to use counters as part of it’s effect(The “Turn counters” I’ve posted recently were used to keep track of turns on cards like “Swords of Revealing Light”, but were not actually part of the card’s effect). I’ve always loved counters and cards that use them, and specifically, ones that utilize -one- counter. I use little bits of crystal! <3
