"Bait-and-Switch Lesbians": "In the eyes of fandom, a show's major selling point is that its principals are Schoolgirl Lesbians... but oops, it was just a Romantic Two-Girl Friendship after all! The viewers have been Ship Teased"
"Sweeps Week Lesbian Kiss": "The gossip columns go crazy. Interviews with the glamorous starlets are scheduled, and they say things like, "well, I love men, but women have such soft lips and are such great kissers... there's really nothing like it!"
Commercials announce that your favorite good, wholesome man-loving female character is about to take a walk on the wild side. The ad spots will inevitably show the two ladies facing each other, lips pursed, faces nearing, only to cut away before the good stuff happens.
Well, it must be Sweeps."
"Magical Queer": "The Magical Queer has all of the wisdom in the world because s/he is gay, and has been persecuted because of it. If male, he is most often a Camp Gay or a Drag Queen, and can thusly bring culture to his heterosexual brothers and sisters. The male Magical Gay tends to be an expert on heterosexual relationships, even though he's never been in any kind of romantic or sexual relationship with a woman, and even gay romance seems suspiciously absent from his life."
I could read these all day.
