“Magore of Aqshy,” of the warband Magore’s Fiends from Warhammer Underworlds.  I wanted the warband to look permeated with the essence of Aqshy, hence the cracked-magma armor patterns and pale ashen skin(which will show up more in other models in the set).

Magore of Aqshy revision.  Bottom two pics are direct comparisons.

After reflecting on my original paint job on Magore I wasn’t happy, feeling that it was a bit too orangey and busy with no clear focal point.  I went back and re-did the metal framing to simplify it, and I modified the helmet to tone down the ‘lava cracks’ and make the head and eyes stand out a lot more from the rest of the figure.

I still wouldn’t say I’m 100% on it but I don’t want to rework him forever; I feel that this is closer to my original intent with the paint scheme.
