MY SWEET BEANS <3 

falls asleep on the couch- Elain, probably. She was sewing or reading or...Something and it was just so very warm and comfy and nice and she dropped right off. Depending on the time of day Lucien will either very gently wake her up (usually with a cup of tea or something to properly bring her back to the land of the living) or he’ll scoop her up and carry her to bed while she mumbles grumpily and nuzzles against his neck. 

makes friends with the neighbors- ELAIN. Lucien leaves her alone for like five minutes and comes home and finds her hosting a tea party with the entire street and just !!!! Lucien look I’ve made friends with so many people isn’t it great!! and he’s just...yes that’s wonderful, dove O_O they’re all in love with her, obviously. The reviews on Lucien are more mixed but they’re all so fond of Elain no-one ever complains. 

is the adventurous eater- Lucien I think, definitely. He can usually encourage Elain to eat least try things from his plate but she doesn’t usually like them? Especially not spicy foods, they make her pretty little face turn a very bright red. 

hogs the covers at night- Elain. She just rolls over and steals them all and she’s too damn adorable for Lucien to get mad with...She either does this or she just like...aggressively attaches herself to Lucien like an octopus because she wants to sook up all his warmth. Lucien doesn’t object to that either. 

forgets to do the dishes- Probably Elain. She gets them all piled up in the sink, filled up, soap in, all ready to go....Then gets distracted by something. She wanders off and it’s like three hours later and she and Lucien are chilling and cuddling and she’ll suddenly sit bolt upright and just “The dishes!” Lucien always laughs and goes in to help her. 

tries to surprise their partner more often- Lucien does little surprises, sweet notes and new seeds/plants for her garden/a nice night out. And those are good Elain is very fond of them. Sometimes he does big, huge, overwhelming dramatic surprises like whisking her away for a long weekend holiday and she...Likes that too. Elain likes to be spoiled just a little bit and Lucien is very good at doing that. 

leaves dirty laundry on the floor- I want to say they’re both guilty of this actually, Elain maybe a little more so than Lucien. 

stays up til 2 AM reading- LUCIEN. He can’t sleep and it’s a really good book. He usually reads in bed and Elain nestles into him while he does so he has to be really careful while turning pages to make sure he doesn’t wake her. At some point though she’ll stir and, without opening her eyes, will sleepily tug the book out of his hands, blow out the candle, and wrestle him under the covers while she grunts “sleep time” at him. He doesn’t argue with her. 

sings in the shower- ELAIN. Well, it’s less singing and more like...Warbling. She’s not very good at it?? But Lucien thinks it’s fucking adorable and never tries to dissuade her. (They totally duet when they’re showering together. Lucien can carry a tune quite well actually. The first time he joined her Elain stopped mid-word to just go all :OOO because it was so good/unexpected) 

takes the selfies- Hmmm, I want to say Elain? but they’re always couples selfies she very, very rarely takes any of just herself, Lucien has to be in them too. 

plans date night- Lucien. he must make sure his mate is appropriately wined and dined after all.

okay this is going to be more headcanony because I have Feelings

like

first of all Lucien Does Not Like to get his hair wet when he takes a bath no thank you that is for showers only, baths are for relaxation obviously, and then Cassian gets in the tub and he is filthy from a day of training and Lucien is rightfully horrified

Cassian splashes Lucien. No response. Tickling him as well results in nothing. So obviously the only option left is to kiss Lucien which definitely gets a response including but not limited to a) Cassian being kissed back very enthusiastically and b) the water heating up so fast that they have to stop so Lucien can get his powers under control again

Lucien LOVES washing Cassian’s wings, it’s his favorite. And Cassian’s favorite too, of course. And Lucien claims it’s because Cassian can’t reach them and they are dirty and need to be washed but they both know better. They usually save this part for the end of the bath because Cassian has absolutely zero self control when Lucien starts touching his wings, zero, and Lucien steadfastly refuses to Do Anything other than kissing while bathing, so hopefully they’re both already clean once that starts happening because if not they aren’t getting any cleaner

BONUS:  one time they used each other’s soaps and both complained about it for an entire day. Lucien:  “this literally does not smell like anything and also I have sensitive skin oh my god Cass you are a heathen to use this soap” Cassian:  “I smell like that parlor Rhys goes to to get his manscaping done oh my god Lucien how can you stand to cover up your natural musk”.

DO NOT BE SORRY. I LIVE FOR LUSSIAN. 

falls asleep on the couch- Usually Cassian because he likes his cat-naps. But occasionally he’ll get up early to go for a run or something and find Lucien passed out with a book on his chest where he fell asleep reading the night before. Cassian will scoop him up and carry him to bed before he goes out and fondly chide him about doing this because, “You’re going to fuck up your neck, Lu.” Lucien’s reply is sleepy but snarky. 

makes friends with the neighbors- Cassian does his best to be a Good Neighbour. He invites them over for dinner to get to know them and will chat across the fence with them. Lucien can go one of two ways here, either he joins in and they chat together or he snarks about them while Cassian flaps his hands and makes shushing noises because “yes, she’s obtuse, Lucien, but she’s not deaf.” 

is the adventurous eater- Cassian is the adventurous cook but Lucien is the adventurous eater when they’re out. Cassian thought he was adventurous with his food but then he met Lucien who takes it to a whole new level. 

hogs the covers at night- Probably Lucien. Cassian gripes because like wtf you literally have fire powers you don’t need extra blankets. Lucien probably just kisses him and murmurs a little “please, Cass, I’m cold,” and ofc Cassian relents because he just can’t with Lucien’s puppy eyes. 

forgets to do the dishes- Lucien, probably. Cassian gets all >:( because I cooked the food, Lucien, the least you can do is clear up!? Or I could keep cuddling you and kissing you instead………..Yes okay do that. 

tries to surprise their partner more often- Probably Cassian. Though his surprises tend to consist of him sprawled naked on his and Lucien’s bed with a rose between his teeth in order to ~seduce~ him (or more likely to make him laugh because he’s been having a rough time lately.) He always succeeds at both of these things. 

leaves dirty laundry on the floor- Lucien. Cassian is something of a neat freak. Lucien is...Less so. Cass growls at him for being a ‘pampered little prince’ every time he does this but it doesn’t change anything (except to probably initiate some role-play sex tbh) 

stays up til 2 AM reading- Definitely Lucien. His insomnia is bad sometimes and he just can’t sleep. Mostly Cass just leaves him to it but sometimes he will go and get him and gently coax him back to bed and hold him til he drops off again because he needs to sleep. 

sings in the shower- Cassian. Very loudly. Very exuberantly. Probably with a dance routine to match. 

takes the selfies- Hmm I think I’m going to say Cassian. Lucien is more likely to be taking pictures of other folk than himself, I think. 

plans date night- Cassian, probably. He gets these romantic impulses every now and then that just make him want to wine and dine his husband, what can he say?

I don’t really read comic books but I’m a big fan of Runaways, and Gert (is that her name? her superhero name is Arsenic) in particular.

The smell of pot, littering, and people who think being an atheist automatically makes you smarter than religious folks

Oooh, good question. In a way, yes. I do think things that are meant to happen will, but it’s more a grace-of-God thing than a fate-thing, I suppose.
