“You’re not from Mirkwood are you?”
“Ariel.” it had been at least a couple of hours since Maxima had decided to plant herself on the side of Ariel’s writing table. In the last five minutes she had decided to grab an A4 white piece of paper and ripping small bits from time to time. When speaking her name, she would throw the small bit to the other’s open notebook “Ariel.”

He’d forgotten how utterly boring patrolling the eastern borders could be. Perhaps he should take joy in the brightness of this part of the wood, or be thankful for the reprieve in danger, but when there was little else to do but fiddle with his leather crafting. Most of his patrol had gone to fish by the river, save for Ríthor whom was making some sort of stew and Colfindir and Glorien, who’d gone off who knows where. He raised a brow upon spotting Naeriel and leaned up from where he’d been lounging. “I did not expect to see you here. Have you come to fish the river or do you have news from the Halls?”

“Perhaps I do,” the elf maid said with a laugh, eyes surveying the damage around her. Several crashed barrels, two men stuffed face down in the remaining ones, fish scattered all over the place and one dwarf still standing in the middle of it all. “It looks like quite a story.”
{ - Fili cleared his throat glancing around at the mess he had caused. Reaching up he rubbed the back of his head and laughed out faintly. He was never this reckless. Or at least, reckless enough to get caught. Pulling his shoulders to his ears he raised a brow and sighed out.
“ It be quite a long story...over ale perhaps? “
He smiled sheepishly with a questioned tone in his voice.

Whispers, like a gust of wind through reeds, pass between the others as he leads them off the road, finding the path under the ferns and following it uphill. They are whispers of anticipation, of knowing they must be close to their destination; and his anticipation rises too, tempting him to spill the secret before they’re there. But he doesn’t. He has not breathed a word about Henneth Annûn yet, other than that it is a cave and they will like it. WORDS would never cover it. He wants them to see it with their own eyes.
They are but a small company, twelve horses and ten riders, travelling discreetly. More elves will come later, when Greenwood can spare them, and when some preparations has been made for them here; one day a settlement will be here, an elven hall, new and full of life in the HEART of Ithilien. As for now, the secret will be theirs, and theirs only.
"Can you hear it?” His raised hand begs for silence, heartbeat picking up at a familiar sound. “The waterfall. It is CLOSE now.”
