Front Door Alcove
We will start at the front door. I’ll add a map later, we’ll assume the house is oriented so the house faces west and start moving through it counterclockwise.
I’ll try to use a reasonable number of pictures to describe an area.
Entryway into the house
This is the primary entry into the house. There are a number of commonly-found features here:

Red comfy chair by narrow window
L-configuration stairs to upstairs
War medal in framed display
Hat stand/coat rack
Big picture of Grandad in uniform
Kid’s backpack storage cubby by stairs
Sometimes there is variation in various features like the rugs, plants, etc.
