Fans of the manga “Major 2nd” saw their prediction about the 'big announcement' about the show teased by Weekly Shounen Sunday last week come true as the magazine today revealed that the manga is indeed getting an anime adaptation
For those who don't know, "Major 2nd" (by Mitsuda Takuya) is the sequel to Mitsuda's "Major" series (1994 - 2010), and follows a young man by the name of Daigo, whose live is one of burden as he attempts to shoulder the heavy legacy of fame placed on him for being the son of the legendary pitcher Gorō Honda (main character of "Major")
As he steps on to the playing field, will the path he follows lead him to becoming as great, or even better, than his father?
Back on the anime adaptation, no studio or production staff was listed, but we do know that the anime will be out in April 2018, and that it will air on NHK E Tele
Interesting enough, NHK helped co-produce the anime series of "Major" (2004 - 2010, 6 seasons) though if they are involved in this one the Jump magazine did not say (probably are ^_^)
