Just found out that apparently there is a gene which makes you find the smell and taste of cucumbers (and to a slightly lesser degree, melons) completely repulsive, and I have it.

P.S. - And I'm currently icing my knee with a cold pack thing that I keep in the freezer, and my roommate peeled a cucumber (made half the damn house reek) and put its peels in the little compost bin we also keep in the freezer, and now my cold pack smells like cucumber and it's so gross. Also my hands smell like it because I handled the cold pack. FML.
