Day 6 & 7: Yesterday was 'Love Story' and I love the fact that I'm able to make my own clothes that actually fit, like my Merida dress (#SOIDorisdress @sewoveritlondon) I'm wearing today. I also love that I now have the knowledge about sewing that makes me question how somethings can be so cheap? It's worth investigating your loved brand to see how they work, who sews the clothes? Are they paid fairly? Is the working environment up to standard? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today is the last day of #fashionrevolution week and the theme is 'Looking Forward'. I carry at least one #totebag with me in my backpack/purse for whenever I need to go shopping (this one I'm carrying has become a recent favourite from @hm #conscious, mend and save what you can!). I also invested in a garment steamer last year, which I named #HotHugo 😁, that means I don't need to actually wash my clothes that often, I just steam it and it's ready to go again! I will try to find the best solutions forward, always. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also, swipe to see the powerful quote from @ethicalbrandz It's easy for me to sit here and say the things I do, but I'm hoping I've made some kind of impact on you that you will start asking questions and think about your choices. Your roll as a consumer is powerful! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's #fashrev week, get to know more about where your clothes come from, and who made it!
