Mako was still seated on the couch, studying the open folder with information on the latest case that Chief Beifong wanted him to focus on; golden eyes not even looking up from the papers in both of his hands. He'd been in that same spot since his shift ended; even with night having already settled for awhile. He hadn't meant to be so distracted when he agreed to stay the night, but...

“Hey, workaholic, you said that an hour ago.”

He was leaned against the doorframe to the bedroom, watching Mako with his hands in his pockets. He literally hadn’t moved an inch. He’d understood wanting to get the information in his head while it was still fresh, sure. Get a head start on some studying, fine. He’d given him time and space, but...

Mako, it seemed, had a hard time turning off his work-switch sometimes. 

Exhaling a sigh from his nose, Sebastian pushed himself off and forward to slump down in a nearby chair and watch him a little more lazily. Ah, well. Even less active nights together were still nights together. The officer was clearly too distracted for much else.
