so like... i just remembered this old unfinished prototype comic i had for my splatoon ocs from before octo expansion released...and i never shared it..

rest under the break bc i had a lot of panels

so thats all i drew, and what was going to happen next was yakut choosing the 2 new team mates he wanted, then a montage of the next few matches, and malakit slowly getting better and better, until the final few seconds of the final match of the day ending with yakut chasing malakit down with his carbon roller, and malakit mananing to outfox yakut until the match ended. yakut, who’s usually stoic and silent, ends up being impressed with malakit, telling him “now THAT...is what i want to see.”

as they part waves, yakuts group asks malakit if he would like to join up again for a match next time. malakit is hesitant, but accepts, happy that he’s found a new hobby. and that was the end of chapter 1.

i wanted to make a slowburn romance between yakut and malakit, and slowly expand on their backstories, then go into an arc where after an arguement with yakut, malakit got kidnapped by sanitised octolings, and yakut had to join the squidbeak splatoon to rescue him.

but then octo expansion got released and i ended up hyperfocusing on my agent ocs instead. whoops.
