@tellmeallaboutit's OC, has me acting unwise.
Decided to post this guy’s full journey.
EDIT: Threw in his original core form.
Some color doodle studies that turned into tarot cards for one of our Pathfinder campaigns! These are all folks from our part-time campaign, where we do little connected adventures bit by bit whenever we’ve got a spare night or two, and also test out different character builds at time!
Left to right, top row
Nine of Swords: Fray, played by @punishandenslavesuckers - a witch/warlock who has made certain decisions that have gone certain ways and oh jeeze he could really use a W, you know? He’s great and an asshole baby.
Knight of Pentacles: Amon Kumo - a noble paladin of a champion, driven by pure goodwill and the nicest dude you’ll ever meet. Pure goodboy distilled from essence of yellow labrador. Also will bash u with his spiked shield.
Three of Wands: Arden, the perfect girl scout, and her companion Burr the black bear - the absolute ideal of rangers everywhere, Arden is effective, brilliant, perceptive to a scary degree, and able to survey both the fields of the wild and of social-political maneuvering. We love Arden and if anything happens to her we WILL riot.
Left to right, bottom row - characters I play in this campaign! I alternate between them depending on story and what the party composition needs
The Hanged Man: Malakur - who has taken fate into her own hands and succumbed to it, a berserking fighter possessed by the spirits of her ancestors and of all the furious dead who desire absolution. Here to deliver incredible asskickings as well as exorcisms and motherly protection as needed.
Seven of Swords: Del’ethys - this fucking elf stole my wallet and fucked my husband and lit our barn on fire and fed my dog sausages and
look what’s important is that Del’ethys has never done anything wrong in her life ever and has never had to run away from a horrible past that would be stupid.
Fuck it *draws all my ttrpg characters as goofy little sprites or something*
Malakur, Orc Barbarian - Hae’vallir, Dragonborn Fighter - Catpaw, Goblin Swashbuckler Akumo, Leshy Ranger - Del’ethys, Elf Rogue - Majalis, Tiefling Witch
More art of Malakur, my big asskicker orc barbarian I’ve posted about before...and her family! First off is her and her kids- Malakur has four kids, two she bore herself and two she adopted in, which is pretty common. The Road Masters (the culture she’s a part of) raise children communally, so it’s expected and accounted for to take in children.
They also don’t usually garner an “official” name until they become full adults, which entails taking on the responsibility of managing one’s own home and whatnot- none of her kids are quite at that stage, yet, though her eldest is basically getting there, even if he’s dragging his feet. Until that point, kids are given nicknames or temporary names based off their traits or hopes for the future, which are readily changed to suit them better.
And down at the bottom is Malakur’s wife, the INCREDIBLY COOL Korrath Korrash, master hunter and teacher, ranger of renown!
I’m having a lot of fun designing their clothes, tinkering with bits and bobs to make them look a little different from anything else I’ve seen. At first I wasn’t sure on keeping colors limited to red and blue, but it’s really grown on me and I like the blocky, subtle patterns of their clothes. Also I guess everyone has their abs out. Crop tops ONLY for the Road Masters.
Under the cut for more information about each!
Some more Pathfinder game art of Malakur, and her daughter Leaf! Malakur has a ton of long, thick hair that she somehow wrangles into her braids, and I was figuring out where to place her weird scars. Supernatural healing can make things work in...strange ways. Also trying to figure out her tattoos and placement. Also why did I think trying to draw her teeth from the side view would be good? This was a terrible idea. I have like, no ability to 3D render things.
(oh no, look out, a tit!)
Also her picking up team member Fray, who is a very tall elf who weighs approximately One Bean Stalk worth of pounds. Malakur could yeet him if she wanted.
And then some draws of her daughter, little Leaf, who is a budding (ha ha) druid, and her leshy familiar, an awful little burning nettle creature that goes by the name “Barn Burner” and speaks mostly in high-pitched shrieks and hissing. Leaf has inherited both the family predisposition to hearing and understanding spirits, and to RIGHTEOUS FURY which is always a great combination. It’s a long family line of Lawful Good Asskickers which is always a delight.
It was pretty easy to figure out the kid was going to be a druid when she started chatting with local plants. If we ever do a first-level “baby adventurers” game I might play her.
I’ve been meaning to do a thing on the Road Masters, the culture they’re from (it’s primarily Orc, Human, and Halfling since there’s virtually no single-species cultures in the setting) but all my stuff is so disorganized yet that I don’t have much beyond rough sketches, but eventually I’m hoping to answer some culture questions I got and talk about not just the Road Masters, but the surrounding cultures and areas and people!
Revisited and remade an old character of mine, Malakur! Bigass orc asskicker, death worshipper, wholehearted supporter of her pals. Was messing around with some facepaint variations.
Also wound up revisiting my other orc gals. Respectively: Malakur, Kiga Giltleaf, and Urva Half-Tusk. Kiga is...understandably awkward, having been raised by elves, which also explains her name. Currently they’re all made in Pathfinder but all have their roots as DnD characters, since I play both systems! Malakur is a Barbarian (formerly a very poorly built Cleric but she had to get rebuilt from the ground up) with a connection to spirits. Kiga is a Ranger, and a warden of a noble wood. Urva Half-Tusk is a...monk, still? I’ll figure her out, she was previously a way of shadow monk in that she was here to sneak around, get the dirt, and possibly do an assassination.
Kiga’s...very out of her element
NUDITY AND GORE UNDER THE CUT. Malakur’s connection to the world of the dead is...intimate. After all, she died! She got better, but you know, once you touch the other side...Have you ever been so fucking pissed that you’ve gotten back up after taking a point-blank fireball to the torso?
Some Valentine’s Day cards from my TTRPG characters!
Akumo Flint, who doesn’t really get this whole thing.
Del’ethys, who has made a mistake.
Korrath Korrash and Malakur, Team Wifey. (And Korrath Korrash’s bird)
