This is how I show my love
So an idea for a D&D campaign got away from me, and I couldn’t get this image out of my head after hearing a cover of Awolnation’s “Sail”. These characters are a major part of the campaign, but I’m debating writing their backstory, too.
The short version of it is that Malcer and Calizna Astavon were both ones monster hunters, but a vampire bested them and killed Calizna. Malcer was forced to flee, and when he returned to try and kill the vampire alone, he found his undead wife now a vampire herself.
Malcer knows he has to kill her and free her from her curse, because he loves her.
Caliza knows she has to kill him and raise him as a vampire, because she loves him.
