"You're a horrible tease you know that!" Mary exclaimed with annoyance. He rubbed at his face where she flicked him and chuckled.
He made his way back into Elwynn, mind distracted in so many ways and not all were pleasant. He pondered greatly upon the matter of his father, a man who had been a librarian for the church of the light. The one who had fostered his love of learning but had not seen to tempering that love either. He steered his horse gently down the cobble paths, waving to the guards and they nodded in return. They were quite used to him moving about so late at night these days. He pulled his mind back as he found it wandering, something he was good at when he didn't want to think about things.
His father, Gary, had seen to much of his early life as his mother was often called away to work as a paladin. All he could think of tonight when he and Malrek found what became of the members of his father's party...Was how much he needed to put his father's rotting and animated corpse into the ground. It had become a rage, an irritation where mourning and reverence should have been. Malrek did the deed for him after some talking down. Even with that kindness he still felt he should have ended his father and something seemed to mock him for it.
It was done, another piece of the past laid down to rest and he sort of shrugged a bit. He'd learned more of Malrek today as well, the man had faced demons in Outlands. Not only that but Nathrazeim...He'd taken the hint he needed to be careful and that this dance they did was decently even in some ways. He knew Malrek was capable and didn't doubt the blade at his hip. Despite the slight subtlety he understood the way Malrek went about it and why.
