So I read Deathless Gods Bleed Ichor part 1.5 by @malrie. Today I learned that I am not an angst girlie. Instead, I'm an extended metaphor girlie who enjoys thinly veiled foreshadowing, failgirl protagonists, strong symbolism and beautifully crafted scenery. And this story had all of this wrapped up in barbed wire next to a grenade. Atop a land mine. It was good, is what I'm trying to say. And you should read it as soon as you can

….Piper does in fact play a hand in Leo and Calypso breaking up, but it was purely by accident on her part and it definitely wasn’t the main issue. Calypso is still learning how to not feel jealous every time Leo is close with a girl and Piper isn’t helping in the slightest. When Calypso tells Leo that her seeing them together makes her uncomfortable and Leo makes the mistake of telling Piper, she gets a little vindictive about it. She probably didn’t need to ask Leo to fly 1500 miles for an oil change, but it’s worth it to remind Calypso that she’s not the only girl who gets to be in his life.

Shel thinks it’s kind of weird how 1) invested Piper is getting into their pseudo-rivalry and 2) how often Leo is around, but she writes it off as a weird grieving thing because she knows that Piper needs it rn. This was unfortunately a huge mistake because it takes 2 months after Leo and Calypso officially split later that year for Piper to realize that she was a little too happy about it
