I usually don't get invested in OC x Canon, and this would usually put this on my doodle blog, but I'm already too attached to not share him on main!! If he's going to give me this much brainrot, he must be everyone else's problem, too. <3 These are early concepts, so I apologize for them being kind of messy. This is Prince Kentau Ipota Ordona, who's meant to be a love interest for Malon! I thought it would be really funny if Malon got her wish for a prince, and it solved Zelda's problem of evading an arranged marriage simultaneously. >:) He's intended to be either TP Link's ancestor or Ilia's, more lore on that below!!
Current ideas for him:
His name is Kentau Ipota Ordona (as mentioned). He's a rather spiritual yet impulsive person, his patron being Malanya.
He's the prince of Ordona, a small village-state off Hyrule that is in a state of decline. He's set to marry Zelda for the expansion of both cities, but while they get along he comes to realize he's not as enthralled by her as he thought he was at first (and she's not remotely interested). He never liked the set expectations of royalty, anyway.
Kentau eventually meets Malon while with Link and Zelda, and both are undoubtedly smitten with one another. Later, in a sudden fit of emotion (brought about by him realizing how much he loves a simpler life), Kentau forsakes the crown of his useless town and tries to live as a commoner for some time. (Though he soon cools off and realizes he can't abandon his responsibility that much).
To expand on my one headcanon of the Kokiri who grow up becoming some of the founders of Ordon, Kentau and Malon eventually re-establish the small state of Ordona among the now-mortal Kokiri when the Lon Lon Ranch expands to multiple locations as Hyrule flourishes.
He and Malon bond over their love for horses, but he teaches her how to take care of ordon goats and expands the family's owned livestock (resulting in the aforementioned land expansion).
He is TP Link's biological grandfather (Could be a few greats depending on how long you think is between OoT and TP, there is no canon answer and the placeholder answers are inconsisrent). I almost gave him a funky hair color, but genetically speaking I'd like it to be possible for TP Link to end up with the hair color he does (even if it's a few generations later).
His design/vibe inspirations:

And his name comes from two horse-men of mythology: centaurs and ipotanes. He, Malon, Zelda, and Link can bond over being horse girls!! :)
