All my headcanons about Doof’s mum.
Name: Mary White “When I find myself in time of trouble, mother Mary comes to me..” By John Lennon has special meaning for Doof
Age: around 35 when she died Gender: female Sexuality: bisexual and there could be some wild years before she had a baby
Occupation: musician before the apocalypse, then Bartertown street musician/beggar, scavenger and single mum.
Hair : dark brown, long and awesome, with occasional braids and dreadlocks with beads.
Eye color: brown
Height/ bodytype: slim, around 170cm tall.
Appearance: she looks like Alanis Morisette, ok? Because Alanis looks exactly like iOTA.
Clothes: what the wasteland gave to her, lot of leather, spikes, layers, dingly dangly things that her son can touch and they make sound. She paints her face everyday differently with black dots or stripes around her eyes.
Powers/abilities/styles/gifts: She’s virtuoso musician and good singer and loving mother to her lil Dooflet.
Weapon(s): she learnt to shoot bow to shoot crows down from the sky so they can eat them. Otherwise she’s more or less a pacifist and doesn’t have guns, which is later fatal to her.
History: She was a single child of loving parents, classical musicians, born right before the world fell. A happy, beautiful, talented young girl who had many friends, enjoyed life and didn’t care much about what was going on. Then she met Ray, fell in love and when they were awaiting the baby, their town (i’d say suburbs of Sydney) was raided. They ran away and her boyfriend died during that run, shot by perhaps some of Joe’s people. She had only the guitar, few plant seeds hidden inside, and some classical books. Nothing extra. She found a cave to live in, with underground water source, where she raised her son. She loved him very much and did her best to give him as happy environment as possible. They lived as scavengers and traded stuff in Bartertown or she sang there. She taught him music and was astonished by his talent. She told him all about old world musicians and composers and also read a lot of classical literature to him. Then, their hideout was discovered by violent raiders and Mary White was murdered.
Personality: she’s a ray of sunshine to her kid. Loving, caring, optimistic, gentle, creative. She is reserved when with other people, she never talks with any strangers she meets in Bartertown, and she seems very mysterious to them. That Beautiful, mysterious stranger with little mutant kid, they say, and everybody knows who they mean.
Friends/relationships: her son is her everything. She has no other friendships. She thinks a lot about her dead boyfriend and parents.
Likes: most of all she likes watching Coma playing and being better musician every day. She likes watching stars. And she enjoys making creative things out of scrap, like wind chimes for Doof so there’s always some sound around him (thank to @all-doofed-out for this headcanon) or sewing clothes and dolls for him.
Dislikes: the way the world is after the apocalypse. Violence, lawlessness. It makes her infinitely sad.
