Mama’s Here
Bad days happened to everyone – that was a fact, plain and simple. For Chris, he didn't know how often bad days occurred to others, but for himself, knew that whatever the ratio for a typical person was, it was amplified. It was what was expected when he dabbled in the drugs industry, and also what came with being unlucky by nature. He'd learnt to deal with those days where pessimistic thoughts reigned supreme and he didn't want to leave his apartment, let alone head out into the shady apartments of others wanting to do underhand business with him, but still did so anyway. But there were times, like today, that something would happen, far greater than just a mere case of waking up on the wrong side of the bed, and Chris would get spooked.
It was a chain reaction of events that led to Chris getting freaked out, and consequently, heading immediately over to Burnie and Ashley's home. The common routine for him, to seek out love and cuddles from his adopted mama when he wanted to calm down. Chris had a key for their house, and he used it to let himself in on days like today.
Chris' first item of business upon unlocking the door and pushing it open, was to make sure his presence was known. “It's Chris!” Ashley and Burnie might very well have lived in a wealthier part of Los Santos, but when you were well-acquainted with the criminal undertones to the city, you didn't take chances and made sure that you didn't end up with a shotgun pointed in your face just because you didn't call out your name upon entering. “Ash? You here?”
Slowly wandering around the house, leaving a trail of dusty footprints in his wake, the terrifying event kept replaying in his mind that caused a heart to palpitate until it felt fit to burst, and for Chris to let out a desperate whine. “I want a hug...”
