The Silent Observer │ Class 3-E [Part 1/6]
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5] [Part 6]
The mountain air was crisp that morning, carrying with it the scent of pine and dew-laden grass. Class 3-E's dilapidated building stood isolated from the main campus of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, a physical manifestation of their status as outcasts and rejects. But within those worn walls, something remarkable had begun to bloom—a sense of unity forged through shared hardship and an impossible mission.
They were assassins in training, tasked with killing their teacher before graduation. A teacher who happened to be a super-powered octopus creature capable of destroying the Earth.
It was absurd. It was impossible. It was their reality.
And through it all, one student remained an enigma...
Nagisa Shiota had always been observant. It was his greatest skill—the ability to blend into the background and notice the details others missed. His small stature and feminine appearance made him easy to overlook, and he'd learned to use that to his advantage. Observation was the foundation of assassination, after all.

(first note)
He's the class's mood maker and gets along well with everyone.
Sugino-kun is always the life of the party in class, always keeping things lively. He seems to love baseball so much that he plays catch with Nagisa-kun and the others in the schoolyard during recess. Apparently, he recently tried to assassinate Koro-sensei using a baseball. (Okuda)

Sugino's expression
This is a collection of Sugino-kun's expressions. I think his face was a little redder when he invited me to join his group for the school trip. But I was really surprised when he invited me. He's so friendly and cheerful, I thought he'd have lots of friends. I wonder why he invited me... (Kanzaki)

BOOKLET LIMITATION INTERVIEW
1. If you had to describe the character you play in one word, what would it be? I've thought about it a lot, but the one that fits best is "baseball fanatic." 2. What aspects of the character you play would you like people to pay attention to? When I was preparing for the role, the directors told me, "Sugino-kun should be as stupid as possible," so I hope you'll pay attention to that "stupidity" of Sugino-kun. 3. What similarities do you see between the character you play and yourself? I think we're similar in that when you find something you're passionate about, you can throw yourself into it like a fool without thinking about the consequences. 4. Please tell us about any incidents that have occurred during the recording of "Assassination Classroom" so far. Above all, everyone's ad-libs, especially those by Mr. Fukuyama who plays Koro-sensei, were so hilarious that there were quite a few incidents where everyone almost burst out laughing during recording. 5. If Koro-sensei could take you anywhere at Mach 20, where would you want to go? And why? I think we can go anywhere now, but if Koro-sensei is going to take us somewhere, I'd like to go to "Koro-sensei's house"! I wonder what his daily life is like outside of school... I can kind of guess, but I'm still curious. 6. Among Koro-sensei's weaknesses (he gives himself away when he tries to act cool, and he panics surprisingly quickly...), Which of these resonates with you? And why?
Even if the story is predictable or obviously designed to make you cry, I often end up bawling my eyes out, just as the creators intended. (I cry really hard.) Also, I'm really bad with rides, so that's another reason... (I get motion sickness.) 7. Of the classes (excluding physical education), which class would you like to take? And why? Of all the subjects, I was particularly bad at math, so I'd like to take a math class. I'd love to learn from Koro-sensei's teaching style, and more than anything, I think I could come to like even a subject I dislike if it were taught by Koro-sensei. 8. Among the students in Class E, which character do you think you could become closest to? And why? It's Maehara-kun. In Class E, which is full of eccentric characters, he seems like someone I could have a normal conversation with, and I think he would genuinely help me if I were ever in trouble or a pinch. As a friend, I think he's someone I can really trust. 9. You wake up, look in the mirror, and find yourself as Koro-sensei!? What's the first thing you do? I want to try flying. Also, I want to find out what it feels like to move each individual tentacle! 10. If you were a student in Class E attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School, what assassination method would you choose? And why? Since I've always been athletic, I think I'm better suited to close-quarters combat using knives and other weapons for assassination rather than being a sniper who waits and aims at his target. Also, I'm terrible at lying, so I don't think I could use deceptive tactics.

Madonna of Class E
Kanzaki-san proudly takes the top spot in Class E's ranking of girls we're interested in. Not only is she good-looking, but her refined and quiet demeanor is something that none of the other girls in our class have! I was so lucky to be in the same group as her on the school trip! (Sugino)

BOOKLET LIMITATION INTERVIEW
1. If you had to describe the character you play in one word?
Elegant and refined. 2. What aspects of the character you play would you like people to pay attention to? A change has occurred within her before and after the school trip. Please pay attention to that. 3. What similarities do you see between the character you play and yourself? Hair color! She often wears black tights/stockings! 4. Please tell us about any incidents that have occurred during the recording of "Assassination Classroom" so far. Fukuyama-san's ad-libs are so funny that everyone often can't stop laughing. It's tough because I keep remembering them during the actual performance and it slowly sinks in! (laughs) 5. If Koro-sensei could take you anywhere at Mach 20, where would you want to go? And why? The Uyuni Salt Flats. I want to see that scenery! 6. Of Koro-sensei's weaknesses (he gives himself away when he tries to act cool, he panics surprisingly quickly, etc.), which one can you relate to? And why?
I have a sensitive tongue. I often burn my tongue. Just the other day, I burned it drinking piping hot soup
7. Of the classes taught by Koro-sensei (excluding physical education), which class would you like to take? And why? It's mathematics. I'm not good at science and math, but I feel like I could do it if Koro-sensei taught me!! 8. Among the students in Class E, which character do you think you could become closest to? And why? Kanzaki-san! She's my favorite character, and she's kind to everyone, so I feel like we'd get along well. (laughs) 9. You wake up, look in the mirror, and find yourself as Koro-sensei!? What's the first thing you do? I'd love to experience Mach 20, molt, and laugh "Nurufufufu." 10. If you were a student in Class E attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School, what assassination method would you choose? And why? I want to make a snack, mix Okuda's poison into it, and have Koro-sensei eat it! I've been enjoying cooking lately, so I think I can do my best if I use that skill to my advantage.

Girl with glasses
Okuda is a quiet and reserved girl, but when she sets her mind to something, she's serious. I was surprised when, after chemistry class, she suddenly said to Koro-sensei, "Please drink this poison." But that kind of boldness is also one of her good points, isn't it? (Kanzaki)

Of Koro-sensei's weaknesses (he gives himself away when he tries to act cool, he panics surprisingly quickly, etc.), which one can you relate to? And why?
I get motion sickness. Even if I take motion sickness medicine, it's tough unless I stay still.
7. Of the classes taught by Koro-sensei (excluding physical education), which class would you like to take? And why? Anything is fine. I'm bad at everything, so I'd like you to teach me everything from scratch. 8. Among the students in Class E, which character do you think you could become friends with the most? And why?
Maehara. He seems easy to talk to. 9. You wake up, look in the mirror, and find yourself as Koro-sensei!? What's the first thing you do?
Check the movement of your tentacles. 10. If you were a student in Class E attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School, what assassination method would you choose? And why? Sniping. I like to sneak around and aim carefully, even in games.

A skilled sniper hired by Karasuma-sensei
I heard that Mr. Karasuma hired an assassin during the school trip, and our group was also scheduled to be sniped by him. They said he was a very skilled sniper. But in the end, it seems like the whole plan fell through. (Kanzaki)

2. Ryuki
CV: Tomotoru Higuchi
(first note)
Delinquent school trip students encountered in Kyoto
I never imagined I'd be attacked by high school students during a school trip. Even though I usually study assassination techniques, it's a completely different story when you're up against a group of high schoolers. Oh, so his name was Ryuki. He looked scary, and with that face, he looks like he's up to some bad things. (Sugino)

These high school students got the better of Nagisa and his friends. There were a lot of their accomplices at their hideout, but it was only a few of them who attacked. Even so, they're all really terrifying. (Okuda)

6. test time
For the first semester's midterm exams, Koro-sensei started creating clones of himself to teach each of us one-on-one. But the next day, Koro-sensei got angry at us for not being very motivated to study and told us this: If none of us ranked in the top 50 on the midterm exams, he would leave this classroom... (Okuda)
(Second note + second picture)
Thanks to Koro-sensei's teaching, I'm much better at solving tests than before. However, the teachers at the main campus drastically changed the scope of the test right before it started, so I didn't even come close to getting into the top 50. Even so, we all vowed to get revenge on the final exams. Just you wait and see! (Sugino)

7. school trip period - 1st period
When it came time to decide on groups for the school trip, I managed to get into the same group as Sugino-kun, Nagisa-kun, and Kayano-san, who had invited me a while ago. We had to keep our assassination plans in motion during the trip, so we discussed sightseeing routes while thinking about assassination spots. But then we got into trouble with some high school students... (Kanzaki)
Right side
(first note + first picture)
I never expected Kayano to be taken away, let alone Kanzaki. But I'm really glad we had that bookmark Koro-sensei made. I never imagined it would be useful for so many different things. But most importantly, I'm so relieved that both of them are safe. (Sugino)
(second note + second picture)
8. School trip time - 2nd period
It seems like everyone in the other groups managed to do their sightseeing properly. Kataoka's group aimed for the Sagano Scenic Railway, Nakamura's group for the movie village, and Hara's group for Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but it seems like they all failed. I wish our group's plan had worked out too. (Kanzaki)
(third note + third picture)
The nights at the inn during the school trip were really fun. I discovered a lot of things, like how good Kanzaki-san is at games, and how Bitch-sensei is still a young lady. It was fun talking to everyone. In the end, it turned into a chaotic chase scene chasing Koro-sensei even at the inn. (Okuda)
4. Art research ★ART★

Kyoto Ryokan
- Large room
Apparently, everyone in the main building had their own room, but we in Class E each had one large room... But, as Yu said, it's more fun to hang out together in the same room, so this is a privilege of being in Class E. (Sugino)
(second + third picture + second note)

- Bathroom
Apparently, Nagisa and Nakamura tried to assassinate Koro-sensei while he was taking a bath. Of course, he was naked in the bath, but I wonder what Koro-sensei's body is like. (Okuda)
(third note + fourth picture)
Boiled tofu shop
When I asked Koro-sensei, "What Kyoto food did you enjoy the most?", he replied, "Yudofu (boiled tofu) was delicious." It seems Koro-sensei went to Red Eye's Yudofu restaurant. I wish I could have gone too. (Kanzaki)

(first note + first and second picture)
The abandoned house where Ryuki lived
This is the place where Kanzaki and the others were taken. It's a really secluded and dangerous place, and if it hadn't been on the bookmark, we definitely wouldn't have found it. Apparently, even the locals rarely go there. (Sugino)
(second note + third and fourth picture)
Main school building classroom
When we take tests, we have to go all the way to the main school building. It's so different from our usual school building; it's really clean and modern. I wonder if they use state-of-the-art equipment and chemicals in their regular chemistry classes too? If so, I'm jealous. (Okuda)
5. New settings ★NEW SETTING★
Right side
(first picture + first note)
1. Study notes
Almost everyone in the class uses this type of notebook. There are four colors, so some people use different colors for each subject, while others stick to the same color for everyone. By the way, the most popular color is green. (Okuda)
(second picture + second note)
Oh yeah, Ms. Bitch's English class hardly uses textbooks or notebooks. Koro-sensei? Apparently Koro-sensei writes impromptu tests in his notebook. Nagisa and Sugino told me about it before. (Kanzaki)
(third picture + third note)
2. Question 4 monster
During the midterm exams, a "monster" appeared in our minds while we were solving problems. It was huge and ferocious. I think everyone in Class E probably had a similar "monster" pop up in their heads and felt like they were fighting it. (Sugino)
Right side
(first note + first picture)
3. School trip guide
The school trip booklet was surprisingly thick and heavy. I thought it was impressive that Kanzaki-san had made a separate itinerary in addition to this booklet. But it was really useful when the two of them were kidnapped. (Okuda)
(second note + second picture)
4. Yukata figure
- Worn by Karasuma
Apparently, Mr. Karasuma is always seen in a suit, so it was the first time we saw him in something other than a suit at the inn. This is it. I didn't get to see it, but it seems like a few people did. (Kanzaki)
(third note + third picture)
- Worn by chino
It was refreshing to see them in outfits other than their school uniforms, since we don't usually get to see them like that. Especially Kayano, she always ties her hair up, so this might be the first time I've seen her with it down. Also, Okajima said that when Kayano wears a yukata, her lack of breasts becomes even more noticeable... (Sugino)
(fourth note + fourth picture)
5. Fight choreographer at the film studio
I heard this from Okajima, but apparently Koro-sensei spontaneously joined the chambara show at the movie studio. I wonder what it's like to do action at that super speed. He must be incredibly strong and it's over in an instant... (Sugino)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGURI!!!!
As a Karmanami shipper, there’s one headcanon I’m really attached to.
Karma never meant to get attached to Okuda.
At first, he just thought she was interesting and useful. Her skills could benefit him, so he approached her—not to take advantage of her (he does have ethics… kind of), but to ask for help with his pranks and schemes.
What he didn’t account for was who Okuda actually is.
She’s kind, gentle, innocent—quietly endearing in a way that sneaks up on you. It’s hard not to find her cute. And, without realizing it, that got to Karma.
Where other girls might have A) run away, B) judged him, or C) fawned over him, Okuda simply smiled at him softly. She treated him the same way she’d treat anyone else, with calm kindness. That was a first for Karma—especially coming from someone as shy and small as Okuda. He’d honestly expected her to freak out. Part of him even thought it might be fun to scare her a little.
But she didn’t.
She was surprised, maybe a bit uncomfortable at first, but not scared. And as they talked, she grew more confident, already treating him like a friend. Okuda is far too trusting for this world.
That unsettled him.
Somehow, she became more interesting.
Since she agreed to help him with chemical mixtures and such, he started hanging around after class while she worked in the lab. When they were alone like that, he talked. And one day, without realizing it, he drifted into something personal.
By the time he noticed his guard had slipped, it was too late. He looked at her, expecting judgment.
There was none.
She just smiled, offered advice, reassured him. Seeing the worry on his face, she promised she wouldn’t tell anyone.
So he came back.
Whenever he could, he followed her to the lab after class. He talked about whatever crossed his mind, or listened to her ramble—something he found surprisingly soothing. Her voice was soft and calm, and those moments slowly became the highlight of his days.
By then, he trusted her completely. She knew far too much about him. Still, he refused to admit that their bond was anything more than poison and friendship.
Because he’d never felt like this before.
And maybe that scared him.
He started asking her to hang out on weekends and during holidays—just the two of them. To him, it was still friendship.
They texted often. Random things: a new place he wanted to check out, a terrible day he needed to complain about. She’d text him about a cute cat she saw on the way home, or how Kayano teased her that day.
Lunch breaks. Walking home. Weekends.
They grew close, slowly and naturally. Nothing romantic. Really.
The closest thing to romance was him resting his head in her lap, or her holding onto him so he wouldn’t slip on the ice in winter.
Nothing more.
Until Koro-sensei’s death.
After leaving their old school, it was time to say goodbye. Okuda hugged him, told him she’d had an amazing year, admitted she was sad they wouldn’t be in the same class anymore, and said she hoped they’d still see each other often.
It hit him hard.
That was when he realized—maybe, just maybe—he wanted more than friendship.
So he hugged her back.
As for Okuda, she was just being kind the whole time. She’s clueless about these things—or maybe in denial of her own feelings. To her, it probably feels impossible that a boy could like her that way. She’s too nerdy, too ordinary.
Not as deep as Karma’s perspective.
But just as sincere.
