my friends and i were waiting 4 hours on the phone to call into a city council meeting and tell the mayor + city council to defund the police department and one of my white friends goes "revolution is waiting 4 hours on the phone to yell at the mayor" and i was like "um no this is definitely bureaucracy and honestly the opposite of revolution"

i think a sign of me accepting that the panic at the disco that i loved is truly gone is me finally donating the hot topic patd shirt my friend got me for my birthday in 8th grade

chris cu0mo has this intense & crazy energy that's so unsettling to me. like i feel like he would be one of those super involved soccer dads that would make some offhanded remark to me about how slow my mile time is and give me unresolved body image issues into early adulthood

just finished reading long bright river by liz moore and it is about a cop bc it's a crime novel BUT. it was actually very well-written and well-researched in terms of addiction and also how cops use their positions to deflect blame/accountability
