I mean, trans people are actually really rare, compared to the base population, and trans people who desire physical transition are only one subset of the trans population. It makes sense to me that a small, isolated cultural group, especially one that has actually SUNDERED ITSELF from the rest of the species in order to imitate another group (that being the Taung, who have been cast in the role of ancient precursors and thorn in the Protheans’ side for this crossover) would forget about relatively minor particulars like that.
On a further side note the clone army is much, much smaller in Mando Effect, especially the vanilla timeline, than in canon. Spider and I are deliberately keeping the number vague, but it was at most a few hundred kids and babies at the time the Mandalorians interrupted the experiment, as opposed to the several million in canon. In the 4k timeline it’s somewhere in between, probably several thousand strong? Idk, the precise numbers aren’t that important.
In the vanilla timeline it was kind of a struggle for Clan Skirata to absorb that many children at once (they got some help from Clan Fett, Ordo, and Beviin, but not much because everyone had recently been bitten with the NeoCrusader bug and was gearing up to get their asses kicked by the human Systems Alliance in the Skyllian Blitz) but they pulled it off and have had no regrets. They love their adopted clone children.
On a related note, cellarspider, I was thinking that the rescue effort would basically have to happen before or concurrently with the Blitz, because otherwise Clan Skirata would be too broke to pull this off. It basically distracted the clan from participating in the attacks that lead up the Blitz, leading them to divert their resources into rescuing the clones and destroying the Cerberus cloning facility. If the clan chieftain actually broke some of her agreements with the other clans and called her warriors home to help with the rescue and acclimating the clones...Naakla may not have been anywhere near Elysium when the Blitz took place.
