For some reason I've always been fascinated with these cannibal women with a big ass knife npc?? I remember I was so excited to learn about Anastacia in Elden Ring only to find out that it's just a running joke of the devs..... I still love her though. Disgused as a finger maiden to eat tarnisheds - absolutely queen shit.

And even though the Butchers killed me more than every bosses combined, I find them really fascinating too... two women, running a cafeteria to feed a bunch of Undead, dogs and a giant ass rat for seemingly no reason aside from passion and love lmao?? And there's also Mildred who probably had beef with Quelaag because she stole her precious human meat. I drew her with some burn scars as Quelaag's and Chaos Bug's courtesy.

I didn't know about Mildred spawn point, nor she would help us if we defeat her. I literally accidentally found Quelaag's boss room before the bonfire, so I chickened out, run outside again trying to find the bonfire and got attacked by Mildred. Then after defeating her, I was too scared to find the bonfire, turned back to Quelaag's room and pleasantly surprised to find her summon sign there!! It was a fun, idiotic moment of mine, so Mildred has a dear place in my heart.

And then there's also Blighttown. I fucking hate going through Blighttown. But there are some sweet stories surround it.... most notably, the symbolism of the water lily - represents purity and rebirth. We have Quelaag who embraced her monster side and fiercely protected her sister. We have the Fair Lady who saved a bunch of Undead from the Blightpus. We have Quelana who was saved by us and finally worked up the courage to find her sisters again. Like how I think the Butchers feed the Giant Rat because they consider them their pet, I love when I can notice the signs of love and "humanity" in a hopeless place like this...
