Man, I just wish I had anyone to talk about this goddamn manga. This week's chapter was so exciting! The reveal of what "grandmother's footsteps" actually means and that one character's display of certain knowledge really hints at his background (which I already suspected early one, heh!), and Ikki is on the backfoot, and he has to start playing support.
I rarely ever comment on Reddit discussions. I just lurk and upvote at most. But no one is reading this manga with me at all, and I really need to have somewhere to talk about it. It's so lonely liking this manga, damn it. This manga reminded me of all the times when I'm the only one who's into a thing and have to discuss it with myself just to have a yap session, grrr. I gotta start putting socks on my hands and learn puppetry.
OH YEAH! CHRONO X MINNIE FOREVER! I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH! THEY'RE SO CUTE! THEY'RE SO SWEET! THEY'RE SO ADORABLE! THEY'RE ONE BEST COUPLES ALRIGHT!
After what happened in the previous chapter, this one is exactly what I need to heal the uneasiness in my heart! Finally, we learned how Chrono and Minnie met and fell in love with each other!
Minnie originally came from a fishing village with a horrific tradition of sacrificing one of their own for every 50 years. And Minnie, unfortunately (or fortunately), was chosen because she was the only person in the village who had no family or a set job, and thus, she was sacrificed.
Minnie's reaction was of course that she was upset that she was chosen. She didn't want to die. However, soon she came to realization that being sent out to the sea might become an opportunity for her to get out from the village and see the world beyond it. What I like about this part was that Minnie acknowledged her slight resentment towards the villagers. Being told to die would never be a pleasant thing to hear, especially when it was coming from the people whom she grew up with, family or not.
However, Minnie also knew there was no point in holding onto that hate. Now that she was freed from any obligation she has for the village, she decided to do anything she wanted to rather than wasting her time hating the village that sacrifice her.
And as if to reward her, she ended up meeting with the love of her life. It was very heartwarming to see Minnie and Chrono bonding as time passes. Chrono, who had been holding himself inside the ship all alone, finally have someone who genuinely cared for him. By spending time with her, he began to see the world beyond his solitude and experienced varying emotions that he had never felt before, especially love and happiness.
Kizashi might have visited now and then, and while Chrono was grateful of his company to a certain extent, Kizashi's feeling was more selfish, prioritizing enjoying himself without ever considering Chrono's feeling who was supposed to be his "best bud". Minnie, on the other hand, always ask for Chrono's consent and did her best to make him happy.
Hearing Minnie's monologue about her love for her husband was so much endearing. She loved Chrono for who he was, never once wished a what-if scenario if Chrono was a human. Whatever form he had, she was sure that she would still love him. That said, Minnie's imagination of Chrono's human form or cat form might look like was cool and adorable, respectively!
This brought a question if perhaps it was possible for Majiks to assume human form. Hitsugi was capable of taking one, so I won't be surprised if other Majiks could do the same.
True to one of my speculations, Chrono used his power to rewind time to before Minnie got injured, saving her life. However, he had said before that rewinding time of sequences of an event would take an extreme amount of energy. Chrono was already weakened and injured from having to immobilizing Kizashi and his clones, so it's worrying that now he's using all his power to rewind time.
To what extent of an event that he'll rewind? What'll happen to him after this rewind? I don't want Chrono to die! But I can't erase that possibility either! Nishi's writing can be unpredictable! (TT_TT)
Overall, this chapter gave hope of Minnie and baby's survival, but it also could lead to a bittersweet outcome of Chrono's end in return. Still, this chapter made clear the extent of Chrono and Minnie's love for each other. They're so pure and strong, only wants the best for one another. I truly hope they'd be able to survive this.

RAIGO FACT #02 - He ADORES his mom to a point where you could say he’s bordering on momma’s boy territory. His upbringing and their shared experiences involving his father heavily contributed to their strong relationship.
Drama Queen (Manga plus new serialization) sure sparked some discourse on internet but one topic I never saw discussed is the way it shows how discontent mixed with injustice can creates hate. When justice system failed, with no support system or whatever and people are left to cope with anyway they want, how long it will take for one or two deranged people will appear?
(Another thing I find interesting is Kitami is probably gets hit for few times before but it's not until he get to know how good it feels kicking a defenceless alien-shaped sand dolls into a pulp that he ended up beating real, breathing, living one to death. And Nomamoto has been endured being poor and hungry for long until she's presented with accidentally fried alien then someone brough her a corpse...it escalated)
With a title being called "Drama Queen" I guess it'll go a dark comedy route about how people can feel good being miserable which is never looks pretty. 100% not a manga I'd recommend to mass audience.
