Davina hated formal gatherings like this. They weren’t her favorite; far from it. She had to pretend to be this proper girl and pretend that her life was normal. It weighted on her heavy when she was at these events that her life was far from normal. The brunette had heard a group of people talking about her father and mother and the horrible things he did as she walked by.

She had found a quiet little alcove that was a little aways from the crowd of the party. Leaning against the wall, she let out a sigh of relief for the moment of stillness.

“well? what do you think?” jackson asked as he moved along to the song he’d JUST finished. he couldn’t believe how excited he was to take it to the other person and let them hear it. he was more proud of this one than... probably any of the other songs he’d made. “do you think this could be my grammys winner? i think so.” he said excitedly, motioning to prompt them to dance along.

“Halloween is right around the corner and I need honest opinions of costumes,” Jax said apropos of nothing as they examined a nearby costume. Freshly opened Halloween stores were one of their favorite spontaneous stops. “And I want the right amount of awesome. With the right amount of not too flashy. I hate those people who wear something that they know will just turn every head. Good or bad. It’s weird, I don’t know.”
