are u and jimmy married ?

I am a full time student and preschool teacher in the Bay Area, while Jimmy is a full time hospital corpsman based in Southern California. We are both focused on our futures and aspire to build it while saving up for our one and only wedding, one that fulfills our expectations and holds true to our dream, our first home, travel plans, future pets, and potentially, a family.

Plus, we’re only 20 years old. We’re kids! We have our whole lives to be married, knowing we want to spend the rest of our lives together anyways. We don’t feel the need to sign a marriage license or conduct a small backyard wedding with intentions of receiving military benefits. When we get married, it will be the right time, for the right reasons, and I am more than willing to be burdened by days, weeks, months of separation if it means we follow the path God set out for us. Patience. We have tons of it..

We've grown in strength and love over the years, but there are always days where my strength just disappears. He's my strength. One more year long distance, 20+ more years following the rules of the US Navy. In any case, I'm starting my career while accomplishing school, and so is he. We plan to get married once, together, during our dream wedding, after I receive my bachelors and teaching credential, so in five or so years. We're taking the long, difficult, patient, and strong route. And it works for us. And I love him. So much.
