The crypto community is more ideologically diverse than you might think, according to survey results in CoinDesk's Q2 2018 State of Blockchain report.
Now that it’s actually easy for regular people to mine crypto, plus new cryptocurrencies coming out that have openly leftist and/or pro-democracy values like Faircoin, Peercoin, Holo, and Manna, I can’t say I’m entirely surprised that more leftists and centrists are starting to join the crypto game.
I’ve been in it for about a year, and I know one syndicalist that’s lived exclusively off cryptocurrency and cashapp for the past couple years. According to her, she’s by far not the only one doing so.
I’m curious to see what’s going to happen with the banking industry over the next few years.
