Salim woke up to a strong arm around his torso pulling him backwards against the other man's chest. Still in a half-awake state, it took him a minute to register that the person pressing soft, lingering kisses to the back of his neck and shoulders was Jason. It had all felt like a dream, but he knew that it was real from the presence of Jason's warm naked body wrapped around his own. He had never thought he would see Jason again. He had even accepted that he was killed in combat, and, in his darker moments, was unable to stop the theories rushing through his head of how it happened. However, by some miracle sent from above, Jason was with him again and hadn't lost that bright spark Salim was drawn to since they first met. "G'mornin'," Jason drawled into his ear, tightening his hold on him. "Told ya I wouldn't leave."
A steamy deleted scene from chapter 2 of i'll see you again. I've been holding onto this deleted scene for over a year, and I was suddenly hit with the inspiration and motivation to finish it today.
