I wanted something grungey with this one which is why the verse contains no disorted guitar, that loud quite dynamic needed to be there. To further make the divide between verse and chorus bigger I also made the alter go in 5/4 instead of 4/4

Unlike most tracks that I build around a sample and then see where inspiration takes me this one was built around a simple boom bap drum loop I constructed and just grew from there. Contains some spoken word courtesy of Charles Manon

Kids With Guns has one of my favorite Gorillaz basslines and also a hypnotically simple one, just 4 notes per bar through out most of the song, less is more sometimes.  I built this track around that bassline and tried adding my own flair to it.
