just finished reading your marner/mcdavid, dylan/alex, strome/mcdavid fic and there isn't a final chapter. I loved the fic and all the set up it was great. I just want to know what would have happened in the end. Like is it that marner/mcdavid and alex/dylan are together during the season and then in the summers the relationships are more open. what is the future for connor? Does he coach, get back on the ice? does mitch help him more? I just need to know.
wow, thank you so much for taking the time to read that one even though it's incomplete! I'm still hoping to get back to it one day, but I honestly have no idea when that might be, so I'm happy to let you know where it's going.
Dylan and Alex go back to Toronto before the end of the summer, and Dylan finally talks to Connor. they agree (after Connor checks in with Mitch) to try this thing out. it's not quite as clear-cut an arrangement as just opening their relationships up in the summer. it's more like Connor and Dylan are in a long-distance relationship while Connor is also with Mitch, and Dylan is also with Alex. they both learn how to balance their FaceTime calls with each other and their time in person with their respective partners.
Connor does eventually get a coaching position in the leafs organization. it takes a long time for him to get back on the ice, but he does get there. Mitch helps when he can, but ultimately this is Connor's wound to heal, and he does a lot of work with his therapist to get there mostly on his own.
