Hey I was browsing the camp damascus tag and saw your post about autistic mcs written by autistic authors! If you wanna read another one check out The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White :) Lots of medical gore in that one but it's an amazing read

Looks like the protagonist is also trans which is great!

I read a little about the book and saw it being described as a mix of horror, urban fantasy and historical fiction. It sounds really interesting.

I normally don't read a lot of YA but I am also not opposed to reading outside what I am normally reading haha.

My wife (we've called each other that for years even though we're not getting married until April, lol) is my soulmate and the absolute love of my life. We've been best friends for 10 years and together for 4, and she's everything I could ask for. I realized I loved her my senior year of high school and we got together in my first year of college :) I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. She's been with me through thick and thin, and I know I'll love her forever. My best friend, my soulmate, my companion for life, the girl of my dreams...I can't wait to marry her :)

If it makes you feel better I do the Exact Same Thing with horror/scary things in general. Like there was a period earlier this year where I went "Huh. I sure am having a lot of nightmares lately. Anyway time to watch several hours of horrific true crime videos"
