Sesame Garlic Tofu is a flavorful and protein-rich dish perfect for vegans and vegetarians. The combination of sesame oil, garlic, and ginger adds depth of flavor while the maple syrup provides a hint of sweetness. Baking the tofu gives it a crispy texture, making it a delicious addition to any meal.
Ingredients: 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and cubed. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon grated ginger. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 2 tablespoons sesame seeds. 2 green onions, chopped. Cooking oil spray.
Instructions: Set oven temperature to 400F 200C. Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and maple syrup in a bowl. Toss gently to coat the cubed tofu in the marinade. Make sure the tofu is evenly spaced out on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. After the tofu, sprinkle sesame seeds on it. Bake the tofu for 25 to 30 minutes, rotating it halfway through, or until it becomes golden brown and crispy. Before serving, sprinkle some chopped green onions on top.
