Decide to watch a documentary in bed with momma this morning... "Marathon Boy"
I was not expecting that ending.. and maybe in hindsight I should have but I didn't at the time.
I haven't cried that much in a long, LONG time. Heartbreaking.
This poor child being thrown around, never anything stable. And a man who, in my opinion, didn't know what he was doing to this child- the severity of the training schedule he had for him. But still loved him more than anyone who he'd ever been cared for before.
So moving but so heartbreaking. It literally makes you see red, you are so furious watching it. All those kids.. Ugh. Still angry.
It's crazy how little you can know about things going on in a planet you share with 7 billion people.
HBO Documentary Films: Marathon Boy Trailer
Today I saw this brilliant documentary about an Indian boy and his trainer. Budhia Singh already ran over 40 marathons at the age of four after being adopted by his trainer Biranchi Das. Does this sound like child abuse? Well, yes and no. Watch the documentary and decide for yourself.
