                    Despite residing in New York for most of her life, Sahara never interacted ( personally ) with someone who worked in the fire department. Thus, her curiosity reached its peak once discovering Marcel’s occupation, smirking massively. “What’s the worst you’ve ever encountered while living here? I mean, jeez —- have you developed asthma yet because of smoke inhalation?” She could feel embarrassment lingering between the two, but didn’t believe there’s much harm in inquiring about a job that serviced a whole entire community. “Like, that’s wild. Perhaps Mia was frequenting the bar a little too often nowadays, even for her standards, but with the nightmares that plagued her sleep more often than not, she found very little solace in anything but a strong drink and finding some company for the night to keep her occupied instead of waking up in a cold sweat several times a night. She’d just picked up a new drink at the bar, leaning back against the counter and letting her gaze scan the crowd when her eyes instead locked on a familiar face. Perfect. Perhaps not someone to take home for the night, but at least some company for the time being. With her fingers wrapped around the glass, she made her way over to Marcel and slipped up at his side, her free hand grazing over his lower back to announce her presence. “We really need to stop running into each other like this, captain,” she teased, a smirk tugging at her lips.
