Voting, Career Confusion, and more about me failing a class.

Well, I voted in the primaries today. That’s all I’m going to say about it.

I’m also having serious doubts about what I want to do as a career. It seems like my entire life I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian, and take care of animals. Now I’m not sure I’ve got the grades to get into vet school. It’s never been a problem before. In high school (When everything was so much simpler) I had really good grades, and now I feel like I have to keep the perfect grades going or I won’t be able to do anything. 

It’s the feeling that what I do today affects my entire future, and I know that it’s silly, but it really freaks me out. My mother doesn’t seem to grasp this, so I’m telling you. It gives me anxiety, which is something I haven’t had before. It gets to the point where all I can think about is making the right choice, or getting a perfect grade, and I can’t physically do anything for a while because I’m so stuck on that thought. 

And my professor (in the class that I’m failing) emailed me back. Apparently I need to step up my studying game, because that’s the only real way that I will be able to pass the class. (It’s still possible. I did the math) So I will be carving out multiple hours of my day to study now. This is something that will be sort of new to me. 

I didn’t have to study very much during high school. Which was probably bad.

High school does not really prepare you for college very well. 

On another note, the weather is very nice here where I’m at, and I will do my best to enjoy it while I can, because by this time next week, I’ll be back at school, and I won’t have the time, because I’ll be studying my ass off!

All of these ladies are extraordinary in their own ways. And they're not just the greatest musicians my ears have ever had the pleasure of hearing, either: 5 of them are mothers. 1 of them writes poetry and stories and has written a couple of books. One's studying to become a nurse. 2 are teachers and/or have taught in the past. 1 has written soundtracks for movies. What these ladies do in both the musical world and in other aspects of their lives is simply admirable. I look up to these ladies immensely, and I'm more than proud to call them my role models. I will always love and support each and every one of them and follow them on their journeys, no matter what. Keep up the amazing work, girls!
