OURCQ LIVING COLORS
by Shaka
After years of exploring the manipulation of the colors in the visible spectrum, Marchal Mithouard, aka Shaka, expanded his focus saying "light waves are only a small representative of the electromagnetic spectrum." Now researching frequencies below infrared his goal is to manifest images unseen with the naked eye. Interested in the radiation of matter and its capacity for absorption and emission of heat Shaka says each work is made up of two representations: unassisted vision, and thermal imaging intended to help us get beyond the instinctive association of heat only with touch. In 2016 Shaka participated in Paris's @DaCruzGraffiti curated @OurcqLivingColors festival with this wall on Rue Germaine Tailleferre. @marchal_shaka/
