Trial || Marcus & Leon
It was the moment Marcus had been waiting for practically his entire life. He wanted to be a Jaeger pilot more than anything, and after years of being passed up, he finally had his chance to prove himself. He never got this far in the process before, despite being one of the most capable candidates here. But this time, he was going to prove to them they had passed him up for too long. He was going to be a pilot, even if it killed him.
But did he really need to go up against Leon Burne, the pilot he'd idolized since he was a teenager? As if he didn't have jitters already. Leon was clearly not happy to be there. After all, he just lost his best friend, his co-pilot. The last thing he probably wanted was to be paired up with some rookie when he should be mourning. Marcus felt bad, especially after seeing the man take down one trainee after another after another. He just wanted this over with.
Marcus had no choice, though. This was his moment, and he couldn't let anything stop him. So, when it was his turn, he stepped forward, taking a tight hold on the staff handed to him. The commander's assistant read out his name to Leon. "Marcus Ramsay. Three years in the academy. Ranked top five in his class."
