I just think he's kind of above all becoming okay with who he is, selfish and selfless, a contradiction at his core - and that is *beautiful.* Especially for someone who spent so long feeling unworthy and unloved.
Yes, that's true. Damon is a wonderful combination of contradictions that are not contradictory at the same time. For example, his self-confidence and at the same time lack thereof. He's confident in his powers, he knows all his fortes, he knows himself well and is kinda okay with who he is - but at the same time he believes that nobody else can accept him the way he is.
And the whole "bad guy" stereotype that he applies to himself, while being aware that he's a bad guy for right reasons, not the wrong ones - not any more. "Be bad with a purpose."
