tldr: ur local californian reacting to governor newsom signing an EO that bans gas-fueled cars sales by 2035.

happy bc governor newsom basically ensured that eventually gas fueled cars will phase out in california in my lifetime and thatll help the states emissions somewhat. sad bc how are people from low income households supposed to afford reliable transportation, especially as california is NOT known for amazing public transport (muni, bart, and caltrain are definitely the best forms of public transport in the state; however, socal is really lacking in this). overall, without me looking TOO much into his executive order, i think this is a great thing so long as along with this order he offers support for public transit and finds a way to pressure electric car companies to put reductions in their prices for california citizens (at the very least, get tesla to do this, since their only stateside factory is in fremont).
