when you can write from a character's pov sometimes but then other times you might as well be writing from the perspective of a rock
I try to keep myself humble by envisioning all the lives ruined or ended by my favorite antagonists and let me tell you
discussions of how we treat characters who have done terrible things (particularly re: abuse) are very important
fiction does not exist in a bubble, and excusing abusive behavior is never never never okay
:) friendly reminder that you shouldn't make excuses for abusive and manipulative characters because excusing abuse and manipulation in fiction isn't as far from excusing abuse and manipulation in real life as you think it is :)
