My year of meats and ethnic stereotype
Ethnicity isn't as big as racial and gender... However I understand how misunderstood the word is, and how people do not communicate well with others being so close-minded, they assumed what has been told to them(ignorance) which at times can be forgiven, but that doesn't mean it's any less annoying.

some of todays' ethnicities do despise others because of traditional reasons

some careers are based on ethnicity for economic reasons.
After conducting my own survey about ethnicity...
24 out of 30 of my colleagues were present on Thursday June 7(logos) meaning I got 80% of the questions needed for my 5th paper, assuming all 6Q's were answered, I really want to know does it bother people saying ethnic stereotype? or can ethnicity affect careers and environment?
after reading some of the answers I was surprised with "Neither! I'm not Racist" I'm going to clarify Ethnics and Race in my final paper, but i must connect to the book My Year of Meats, so I don't sidetrack.
Most of them do believe that SOME careers are affected by ethnicity, but why I have't discovered yet. I do believe so as well...
I'm surprised, hurt, and slightly happy from my 3rd question: "...influenced to despise certain ethnicity" is it a TIE between Y/N, I believe by asking that meant being racist again... so Ethnicity is misunderstood by Races, and there were two= one not answered and the other questioned it :D
fourth question talked about why there isn't many lead Asian Actor by one of my colleagues so stating if anyone can think of a positive Asian role model: Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Julie Chen, Lucy Liu from charlies angels, Tia Correra, Harry Shum Jr., George Takei, Prisailla Chan.
on a rate scale from 1-5: 1 being low and 5 being high; many range from 2 to 4 on whether they cared about ethnic stereotypes: some gave explanations why Ethnic Stereotypes does matter= very cruel, mean during elementary school, bad names.
the last question WOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR ETHNICITY? drum roll please~?
NOPE!
only one just wanted to gain better language or speech pronunciation, same here I mix my words, I'm truly moved that everyone loves who they are :D even proud! some were very funny and others put sarcasm in :D I really like this professor!
My thoughts about /ethnic stereotype/
I haven't really thought too much about ethnicity or racial stereotyping, but seeing and hearing some people talk about it leaves a negative connotation, but after I did image research in google broswer on the words ethnicity, given photos of little kids in arms and smiling, however when I typed stereoype i was bombarde with grotesque images.
I understand their is a difference to Ethnicity vs. Race:
Ethnicity= is a population of human beings whose members identify with each other, on the basis of a real or a presumed common genealogy or ancestry.
Race= refers to the concept of dividing people into populations or groups on the basis of various sets of physical characteristics which result from genetic ancestry.
Noone is actually offended by the word ethnicity, it helps them decided who they are. (belief)
but placing stereotype with it gives a bad feeling and makes me feels like a terrible racist, however I do believe everyone is a BIT. (opinion)
We believe that people all over the world should try to learn about each other and understand each other...
