here are two really great websites where you can search for species by their common or taxonomic names, and they give you a ton of information. this is really great for identification of anything you might find!

POSSIBLE TANK DESTROY????

okay rage post right now. i am BEYOND FURIOUS. my roommates decided it would be funny to dump HALF MY CONTAINER OF THERA A PELLETS INTO MY FISH TANK. 

on top of this, they didnt say ANYTHING to me about it. just left it. i am so beyond lucky i saw it when i was putting the moonlights on, and its only a 10 gallon FOWLR tank. 

let me paint you a picture of this. the ENTIRE SANDBED had a layer of pellets on it. they were in there long enough that they were already disintegrating and had clouded the water. 

then i had to spend 20 MINUTES SIPHONING OUT PELLETS. the water was completely putrid, and i think my snail was already on the verge of death from it. he had fallen off the wall of the tank. 

hopefully my cleaning and water change helped, and the filter will catch anything left. and another water change is in order but i am beyond exhausted and have a test to study for and i just cannot even. 

who does this kinda shit to someones pets as a joke? who thinks this is funny to possibly destroy a little ecosystem that ive spent years of time and money on??
