Here is my OFFICIAL opinion on the Iron Lung Markiplier controversy. I live in the country, so this is a country comparison to Markiplier, and his Iron Lung movie's AGGRESSIVE vocal haters. (Yes, I have seen the movie, and no, the movie is not perfect. But for a very first attempt at directing a movie, it was an amazing start! I enjoyed it thoroughly. There was this one scene that seriously had me at the edge of my seat, and it really honestly freaked me the hell out).
However, the people violently (and loudly) arguing that Markiplier's movie is "trash and there's no point in seeing it" generally without adding context of why...
Is the literal equivalent to demanding ranch hands to not take care of the owner's horses just because THEY don't like the horses, or their owner.
In this scenario, Markiplier would be the ranch owner, the horses would be his content, and his fans would be the ranch hands.
Ranch hands can leave at any time, but choose to support the owner by taking care of the horses (because we enjoy their general company. It also helps that the ranch owner is genuinely kind and caring as hell).
We're not going to leave just because you don't like the ranch owner, or his horses. We get to decide that.
Besides, his YouTube channel, (the ranch shall we say), got huge, and the number of ranch hands he has won't allow the horses to go uncared for, just because YOU don't like either of them.
