Something rather bizarre I noticed in the first episode is that no neighbor seems to be the slightest bit curious what exactly was making the loudest crashing noise at like 9 at night when Mark was making craters in his mom’s backyard.

Which gave me the idea that the GDA probably bought out all the neighbors in some form or another. I mean they already have 1 house dedicated to video surveillance whose to say all of them aren’t occupied by the government or by people paid off by them.

Regardless of it just being the one house or the whole neighborhood it is totally the perfect set up for a MarkRex "boy next door" scenario.

Rex is probably only 1-2 years older than Mark. It wouldn’t be to far fetched have the GDA/Radcliffe? shuffle Rex off to go play house and befriend Omni-man’s kid and keep an eye on the family. I just think it would be real stinking cute.

In addition I'd imagine Rex would have been told to pretend to be a normal boy. But I think he would immediately disregard his instructions. Sort of halfway point between Helga and April. Rex being the more rebellious child, Mark would probably think his friend is super cool. He would especially be so excited to have a kid his age to talk to about super-heroing. This is also a perfect opportunity to have scene where Rex takes Mark out driving on his moped (since Mark can't fly yet at this point).

Also an extremely easy scenario to turn this into MarkRexEve. Mark is just nursing a little crush on Rex, but on the first day of high school together they run into Eve. Rex just gets so excited to see his girlfriend because "I didn't know you went here babe!" and introduces Mark to Eve. And Mark is just devastated because Rex has a girlfriend??? And said girlfriend is sweet and really really hot and they make a cute couple. Then commence shenanigans where both Rex and Eve are flirting with him, but Mark is not clocking it, because he is all up in his feelings like "woe is me why would two cool people like them want me" and also "I will not be a home wrecker" while also trying to be happy for the both of them.
