you get this because literally no one else i know even remotely comes close to caring about this kind of trivia.

i was playing through Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom and i couldn't help but be struck by how "ys" a lot of the music sounded (check out the final area track). turns out the lead composer is Yuzo Koshiro, who did all of the original compositions for Ys I and II for the PC88 in the late 80s. what a lad.
