Hello from the Marrakesh Medina!

I’m resting a bit and exploring on foot the busy center of Marrakesh! It’s busy, a bit hectic, noisy but I actually really like it here! Merchants are not as salesy or pushy as other travelers made it seem. Or maybe I smell like a biker and no one wants to approach me to buy their stuff 😹

You can get lost in these alleys, and can find pretty much anything in here. Jewelry, artwork, food, hotels, if you don’t get hit by the scooters first. Actually they ride pretty safe and know they need to make sudden stops if people aren’t paying attention. It’s like organized chaos. I have an idea…

Hello from Marrakesh! 🇲🇦

So many travelers I’ve met on the road in Morocco told me they absolutely hated Marrakesh! They said it was busy, crowded, had too much traffic, loud and merchants were grabby and borderline harassed them to buy things.

Of course I want to experience it for myself and form my own opinion.

Would you give Marrakesh a chance after hearing this stuff?

We are loving wandering the Medina and souks of Marrakesh, so many interesting stalls. It is great to wander with no particular direction, get lost, get found, get lost again, and all the time admiring the wares. Now, if only we had a home to put some of these things into.
