All of the 1843D girls coming down with really bad colds all around the same time. So Mama Magda and maybe even Errol coming to stay for a few days at the cottage until the girls are well enough to function on their own again.
Honestly, with how contagious colds are and how close all the girls are ... yeah, I can see it happening. Multiple time. By the time the first one realizes she's sick, one day later, BOOM they're all bedbound. You know Magda and Errol hear about it, and they are over there that afternoon. They key in, and it's game time. "Ladies, don't move a muscle. Errol, darling, please put the groceries in the fridge. Also, can you get a pot of stew started?"
While he cooks, Magda takes each lady's temperature, brings each one tissues, a wastebasket, water and more. If they need their laundry done because they're too weak, she'll do it. She changes pillow cases after cold sweats. She opens windows to air out the rooms.
"Ladies, I've seen everything. I don't want to hear any objections. You'll stay in bed. That is an order."
Errol gives the girls privacy and mostly takes care of cooking, and tending to Sunshine. Food, water, litter box, etc. He even puts her in his apron pocket while he cooks. He also does the cleaning. Man is almost as good as Magda - the cottage is SPOTLESS after just two days. He even sorts their mail, and knits each girl socks. Just because. <3
If they do stay over, they sleep on the main sofa, bundled together under a big lump of blankets after a day of hard work tending to the girls.
Yet, if one stirs? Magda is up, robe on, and investigating.
"Oh no, I hear retching. Errol, can you heat some water? Thank you."
They love these ladies, and will tend to them like they're their own children.
