"There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive." Martha Graham (from above quote)
My notes: 3/29/2026:
I love this life truth that Marta Graham wrote to her friend Agnes De Mille, both who were American dancers. There is a low level anxiety that runs with being alive. You can't escape it, but, you can use it. it fuels the creative fires. It also pushes you into wanting to know possible solutions to what generates the anxiety. Which may lead to deeper insights and revelations.
Regarding my 2/4/2020 margin note (above). I was talking to the bailiff about my work with the homeless which took place mainly in 2017. Something was moving through me, causing me to become a vessel of encounters with the homeless. I handed out bags filled with food, socks and toiletries in Trader Joe reusable bags. I called the bags Trader Joe Survival Kits (TJSK). Quoting from Martha Graham above "You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open"
In my 12/22/2019 margin note at the top of the page (above) I added "Be a vessel, so that what wants to happen can happen through you."
I would add now, to do this, stay out of your own way.
