See Reality Through the Eyes of Expressionist Painters

When most people think of Expressionism, they think of Edvard Munch’s The Scream or the many women of Egon Schiele. However, the movement contains many more talented artists, and I encourage you to become acquainted with some of the lesser-known expressionists such as Franz Marc, August Macke and (my favorite) Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, as well as follow the classics like Amadeo Modigliani and Oskar Kokoschka. With such a wide variety in styles you’re sure to find new favorites among the thousands of bright and colorful paintings our Expressionists have to offer.
