“ ... alright, ” livvy’s voice is soft and very nearly manages to conceal the doubt that hangs over her head like a low cloud that brims with static and thunder. adults, in general, are not helpful creatures. not to her. there is always a hidden catch that comes with an extended hand, but more often than not, it’s easier to just see what that sort of thing is before dismissing them outright. adults, she’s learned, don’t like being dismissed by someone who doesn’t come up to their shoulders. “ it’s okay, though, if you don’t wanna. ”
